Ingredients
1/4 cup Pearl Barley
1/2 cup White Wine (sweet)
2 tablespoons Honey

Comments
This is how the Romans made their barley water.
Directions
Cover & simmer the barley in 4 cups (2 pints / 1 litre) of water for 1˝ hours. Strain off the juice into a jug and discard the barley.
Mix the juice with the wine and honey and top up with more water to make 4 cups (2 pints / 1 litre) of drink. Chill.
