Quetsch Plums are a variety of plums.

They are small, somewhat oblong, with purplish-black or very dark red skin that has a bloom on it.

Inside, they have slightly-crunchy, sweet yellow flesh that comes away easily from the pit.

They are grown particularly in Alsace, France.

They don't ship well.

They are usually used for cooking.

They start appearing at the start of September. Many harvest festivals are held in September in Alsace, particularly in Wihr-au-Val, Wittisheim and Willer-sur-Thur.
