Purple Asparagus
This asparagus has purple tips and leaves, and whatever the cost, you really ought to buy it, as it will be a true novelty to delight your guests. That is, if you took Polaroid snaps of it before cooking: it loses all the purple and turns a normal asparagus green almost immediately after it hits the boiling water.

Substitutes
You can use a digital camera instead of a Polaroid one.

Also called: Viola Asparagus
