Petite Crimson Lentils
Petite Crimson Lentils are an orangey-red colour because it's the inside you are seeing: they are sold with the skin removed.

They are 1/4 inch (1/2 cm) wide.

They are extremely fast-cooking lentils, but don't hold their shape when cooked for long, so they are good for soups and purées.

The plant produces lentils within 60 days from seed.

Cooking Tips
Don't soak. Boil for 4 to 6 minutes if you want them to hold their shape; 20 minutes if you don't.
