Mulato Chile Peppers
Mulatos are Poblano Chile Peppers that have been allowed to ripen until dark brown, then dried out to a wrinkly, flat blackish-brown pepper. They remain that dark brown colour after rehydrating.

The flavour almost has undertones of chocolate.
