 White Egg Beans
Marrow Bean plants are partly a bush-type and partly a runner-type bean plant.
The bean pods are 4 to 5 inches (10 to 13 cm) long, with 4 to 6 beans per pod.
The large, oval, plump beans are off-white in colour.
When Marrow Beans are cooked, the beans purée easily and have a creamy texture.
They have more flavour than navy beans; some think they detect bacon in the flavour.
Marrow Beans can also be used as a shelling bean.
Marrow Beans are good for soups.
100 days from seed for dried use.
