Golden Hubbard Squash
Golden Hubbard Squash is round in the middle, but tapered at both ends.
It has a rough, dark-orange rind with moderate ribbing. The rind is very tough.
Inside, it has dry, golden-yellow, finely-textured flesh.
The squash will grow to be 9 inches (23 cm) wide by 11 inches (28 cm) tall, and weigh 8 to 12 pounds (3 1/2 to 5 1/2 kg.)
It grows on a vine-type squash plant.
90 to 100 days from seed.
Storage
Stores well.
History
Developed by a J.J. Harrison of Painsville, Ohio. Released 1898. Parentage unknown (of the squash, that is.)
