Connecticut Field Pumpkins are slightly oval, with orange-coloured, soft rind with slight ribbing.

They grow to be 14 inches (36 cm) wide by 12 inches (30 cm) tall, and will weigh 15 to 25 pounds (7 to 11 kg.)

They are mostly used as an ornamental for Halloween decoration, and as animal feed.

110 days from seed.

Cooking Tips
Connecticut Field Pumpkins have a light yellow, coarse flesh that has reasonable flavour for pies and canning, but it is a bit watery for pies, and has a very plain, mild taste. There are better pie pumpkins out there.

History
Connecticut Field Pumpkins were known from the early 1800s.
