Black Turkey
Turkeys with black feathers. Because their dark feathers keep out more light, the meat is whiter. The meat is also moister and has a tighter grain than ordinary turkey meat, letting you slice it more thinly.
They cost about five times more than white-feathered turkeys.
History
First brought to Europe from Mexico by Spanish explorers.
